Attack of Ciracas Police Sector Rp1 billion, National Police Headquarters Estimated Losses

NasionalIndonesia. The National Police Headquarters estimates that the losses caused by the Ciracas Police attack reached more than Rp1 billion because the masses damaged office facilities, such as official cars, motorbikes and rooms.

"No detailed losses have been calculated, seeing that such damage is estimated at more than Rp1 billion," said Karopenmas National Police Headquarters Brigadier General Dedi Prasetyo at the National Police Headquarters on Thursday.

However, Dedi has not been able to mention the perpetrators who committed the destruction. The reason is,
the investigation process is still being carried out by the Polda Metro Jaya and East Jakarta Police. If there are results, the police can coordinate with the TNI if necessary.
Dedi emphasized that investigators should not be hasty in handling this case. Because, the joint team formed by the Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Inspector General Idham Azis is still working.

"The team is working witnesses, analyzing all the evidence and identifying all the information we have," said Dedi.
He emphasized that the police should not make conclusions without scientific evidence. Identification, added Dedi, could use the evidence at the crime scene. For example, what has been damaged, the destruction of the car using what equipment, how many vehicles were burned and what were the fuel.

"Everything will be analyzed. Are there traces of the perpetrators left at the scene. If there is, it will be easier for the investigating team to identify the tools that are used for destruction, "explained Dedi.
Then, added Dedi, investigators will also identify videos, surveillance cameras and photos. "Scientific evidence, witnesses who know the event will be asked for clarification," he said.

The attack and destruction of the Ciracas Sub-District Police on Tuesday (11/12) resulted in three police officers being injured. One of the victims was the Ciracas Police Chief Commissioner Agus Widar, a police officer and a police chief's adjutant.
